Please be advised a watermain break on the Port Burwell Secondary System on Nova Scotia Line has caused a service disruption to Bayham Water System users. A crew is onsite conducting repairs however an estimated time of water service restoration is not available at this time. Boil Water Advisory Notice - September 4, 2019 - 4:44PM
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Joyce Lock, is advising that once the water supply has been restored, users should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g. drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.
The reason for the advisory is that the Medical Officer of Health has been advised that a watermain break occurred on Nova Scotia Line on September 4, 2019 and may have compromised the water supply. The boil water advisory is recommended as a precaution in case of potential contamination of the drinking water system. All users of the drinking water system located in the entire Villages of Vienna and Port Burwell are being notified of this advisory.

Please be advised as of 5:02AM September 5, 2019 water services is anticipated to be restored between 6AM-8AM Thursday September 5, 2019. The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect once services are restored.

Please be advised as of 7:04AM September 5, 2019 water services is restored. The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until Southwestern Public Health rescinds the Boil Water Advisory Notice which is expected on Monday September 9, 2019.

Please be advised as of 2:00PM September 9, 2019 the Boil Water Advisory is rescinded. It is recommended that you run your taps for 5 minutes to flush out the taps.
