Municipality of Bayham

Fire Prevention and Public Safety

The Municipality of Bayham Fire Department participates in fire prevention and public awareness activities across the Municipality of Bayham throughout the year.

During Fire Prevention Week the department attends the local public schools and assists with fire drills and/or provides fire safety education to students.  In addition, each station holds an Open House to promote fire safety programs such as smoke alarm installation and maintenance, cooking safely, escape planning, older wiser and other fire safety programs.

Fire Safety Inspections

Fire Safety inspections are conducted as a result of a complaint, request by resident or as part of follow up investigation after an emergency incident.

A fire safety inspection may be requested by contacting the Fire Chief at the municipal office.  An inspection fee is charged for an inspection requested by residents, including but not limited to inspections to facilitate insurance coverage or property sale.
