Half Load Season - March 1 to April 30, 2026

The half-load season on certain municipal roads runs from March 1 to April 30 each year. Trucks are subject to reduced load restrictions in line with the Highway Traffic Act and By-law 2009-045. These measures aim to safeguard roads and bridges from potential damage during the spring thaw and prevent the formation of severe potholes, cracking, and deformation that occur when heavy vehicles travel on softened, saturated roads. Spring Leaf & Yard Waste Pickup

Leaf and yard waste is collected curbside in urban areas throughout Bayham over a 4 week period in both the Spring and Fall, on Mondays, unless otherwise noted.

2026 Spring Dates:  Starting Mondays on April 27, May 4 and 11, and ending on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

All leaf and yard waste must be placed at the curb by 7:00 am, in either paper bags, open reusable containers, or bundled in lengths not exceeding 4 ft. All individual containers must weigh less than 22 kilograms (48 pounds). Leaf and yard waste items do not require a bag tag.
