As part of the beach paid parking pilot program approved for 2025, changes to Bayham’s Traffic & Parking By-law were required to support this initiative. The by-law designates sections of Robinson, Brock, Erieus, and Strachan as Beach Zones. Some of these streets are not wide enough to accommodate parking on both sides and have been newly marked with no parking where applicable. Infractions in Beach Zones are subject to an increased fine. Sections of Wellington, Robinson and Pitt have been marked for 2-hour maximum parking. To support this, new parking stalls have been marked. All spaces are Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) compliant with some being smaller than others. This approach was to allow for the maximum amount of spaces possible near main street businesses. Please utilize spaces that are appropriate for your size of vehicle.
Residents and visitors are reminded that the paid parking for the East Beach parking lot is now in effect. If you have not received your seasonal resident parking permit, you are required to pay to park at the beach. Visit the Beach Paid Parking page for further information on this program and how to receive your seasonal resident parking permit.
The Municipality of Bayham wishes all a happy and safe May long weekend!
Additional information on beach paid parking and the process for how to get your Seasonal Resident Parking Permit has now been updated on our website. Visit the Beach Paid Parking page for the information and to apply for your permit!
