As of Monday, August 18, 2025 at noon, the Fire Ban across Elgin County, originally declared on Friday, August 8, 2025, has been lifted.
Friday, August 8, 2025 - a fire ban is in effect for the entire County of Elgin – which includes Bayham. All burn permits are now suspended and any open-air/recreational fires are prohibited. See the NOTICE from the County of Elgin for further information.
