Bayham has partnered with HONK Mobile for this pilot program. Those parking at the East Beach between 9 am to 7 pm from May 1st to September 30th will be subject to paid parking requirements.
Beach Paid Parking
SEASONAL RESIDENT PARKING PASSES
Council approved permanent paid parking at the Port Burwell East Beach between May 1 to September 30. If you are a Bayham resident, you need a Seasonal Resident Parking Pass to park at the East Beach for FREE. A maximum of two (2) passes per household can be registered and your application needs to be approved before your first visit.
A Seasonal Resident Parking Pass is a digital permit provided through HONK and there is no physical permit to have in your vehicle. Residents can apply for seasonal passes in early April.
NON-RESIDENT PARKING PERMIT
Council approved Non-Resident Seasonal Permits for the East Beach Parking between May 1 to September 30 and is only valid Monday to Thursday for $85.52 inclusive of tax and fees. Please contact the By-law Department at the Municipal Office for further details.
TRAFFIC & PARKING BYLAW CHANGES
Changes to Bayham's Traffic & Parking By-law were required to support this initiative. The by-law designates sections of Robinson, Brock, Erieus, and Strachan as Beach Zones. Some of these streets are not wide enough to accommodate parking on both sides and have been newly marked with no parking where applicable. Infractions in Beach Zones are subject to an increased fine. Sections of Wellington, Robinson and Pitt have been marked for 2-hour maximum parking. To support this, new parking stalls have been marked. All spaces are Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) compliant with some being smaller than others. This approach was to allow for the maximum amount of spaces possible near main street businesses. Please utilize spaces that are appropriate for your size of vehicle.

How is this program being administered?
I'm a Bayham resident - how do I park for free?
If you are a Bayham resident you need a Seasonal Resident Parking Pass to park at the East Beach for free. A maximum of two (2) permits per household can be registered and your application needs to be approved before your first visit.
A Seasonal Resident Parking Pass is a digital permit provided through HONK. There is no physical permit to have in your vehicle.
How do I get a Seasonal Resident Parking Pass and what is the process?
Apply for your Seasonal Resident Parking Passes through THIS ONLINE FORM. You can apply individually or for both your household passes at one time.
Once this form is submitted, staff have seven (7) business days to review and approve or deny the application. Once approved or denied, you will receive an email from HONK noting your approval or denial and outlining the next steps to complete. Submitting the above application form does not mean you have received a pass.
You must complete all steps from HONK to officially obtain your pass. See this step by step guide of what you can expect to do through the HONK app for this step. Make sure to check your junk mail!
Once you have completed all steps to obtain your Seasonal Resident Parking Passes, you can park at the East Beach in the vehicle that you tied to your pass without paying a fee. You do not need to log your session (visit) if you have a Seasonal Resident Parking Pass as long as you are using the vehicle that you have registered.
Your Seasonal Resident Parking Pass is tied to one (1) license plate only so be sure to take the registered vehicle to the beach if you do not want to pay for parking.
Two (2) passes are allowed per household so you may sign up with multiple vehicles if you want to use them interchangeably.
If you need to change the license plate that is registered with your account, please contact parking@bayham.on.ca to discuss.
