Half Load Season - March 1 to April 30, 2026
The half-load season on certain municipal roads runs from March 1 to April 30 each year. Trucks are subject to reduced load restrictions in line with the Highway Traffic Act and By-law 2009-045. These measures aim to safeguard roads and bridges from potential damage during the spring thaw and prevent the formation of severe potholes, cracking, and deformation that occur when heavy vehicles travel on softened, saturated roads. Certain exemptions may be requested. For further information and the half-load map, please visit our Public Works page on our website at: https://www.bayham.on.ca/municipal-office/public-works/
The Municipal after-hours drop box is temporarily unavailable due to construction.
During regular business hours, please bring all payments/documents upstairs to the Municipal Office or use the doorbell to the right of the main doors and someone will come down to assist you.

The Ontario government is investing $469,523 to help renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure in Bayham. The funding will be delivered in 2026 through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF).
“For a smaller municipality like ours, we are very appreciative of the financial assistance of upper levels of government for Bayham capital infrastructure renewal and rehabilitation projects. The OCIF Formula Funding helps supplement the capital tax levy for the municipality”, said Ed Ketchabaw, Mayor of Bayham. “This annual funding has helped the municipality improve its asset management plan funding and lifecycle renewal. Without the annual OCIF Formula Funding, infrastructure projects would fall behind for a rural municipality like Bayham and our infrastructure gap would continue to widen.”
