Starting Tuesday, September 8, 2026, The County of Elgin will be undertaking rehabilitation work on the Eden Line Bridge. Elgin County will be sending a notice to all residents along Eden Line in the coming days.

Please be advised that effective immediately, Jackson Line will be temporarily closed from Plank Rd to Mitchell Rd, between 55111 – 55171 Jackson Line, until 3pm today, May 20, 2026 due to tree laying on wires, blocking the road. No thru traffic. Waiting on Hydro to remove wires.
Road is NOT open to local traffic, and not passable for emergency vehicles.

The Port Burwell Marine Museum opens today, Friday, May 15th, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, until September 7, 2026, Labour Day, at 20 Pitt St, Port Burwell.
Visit your local museum to see the NEW annual exhibits. This year’s exhibit focuses on photography, "Picturing Port Burwell: 150 Years of Photography".
The Marine Museum will be participating during the Canada Day Celebrations and also the Beachfest Civic Day weekend festivities, with a different craft for kids each day! You can find us along the sidewalk near our museum parking lot. Watch for balloons!!
An Elgin County Tourism Kiosk is also inside the Museum where you'll find several brochures and information about Elgin tourist spots and businesses.
